Beyond BIM

These days nearly all projects are being drawn in 3D, utilising the clash detection and numerous other features of the software. We have looked to go far beyond this point and have developed systems and software that allow taking delivery, closing out and commissioning to be integrated into the BIM.

We utilise radio-frequency identification (RFID) tagging to tag all plant to an agreed level, from the very first factory test it is referenced on the BIM and stored within the model with all test, delivery and commissioning data, giving real time information of its progress and incorporation into the project.

This system can then be further extended as the basis for a maintenance system providing a real time dash board for the centres performance. Any element of this system can be implemented as part of the project and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss such integration with clients.
