Like all forms of construction the data centre has its own requirements and therefore when it comes to forming an early cost plan, specialist knowledge of the market is key to ensuring accuracy.

Over many years and numerous projects, we have worked on refining our ability to calculate accurate budget costs at the start of projects, based on the clients outline scope. This allows us to indicate to our client what are likely to have to pay for their completed data centre. The benefit for all is that requirements can then, if necessary, be adjusted at a very early stage.

Skanska can also offer a ‘no profit on profit’ deal when other Skanska companies are used on a project. This means that the client only pays profit once on each of the ‘in house’ trades and the main Skanska contractor does not apply their additional profit to this section of the works. With the diversity of the Skanska UK group, this means a good saving can be shown to the client should he wish to pursue this avenue.
