Application process

Find out about the application process for graduate, intern, trainee and apprentice roles.

Online application
Submit your up-to-date CV, and answer a few of our basic screening questions. The time it takes for us to respond to your application can vary but we aim to respond within one month of the advert closing date.

Online assessments
You will be asked to complete a series of short online assessments:

Situational Judgement Assessment: You’ll read scenarios and decide how you might respond to them. These are not timed.

Ability Assessments: You’ll complete numerical and/or verbal reasoning assessments. These are timed.

Online assessments can be daunting. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any worries or feel there is something that would enable you to perform at your best.

Video interview
We’ll ask you to answer 4 motivational questions to explore why you would enjoy the role and working with Skanska. You will have up to 3 minutes to answer each question and you can re-record your answers until you are happy with them.
Assessment Day / Interview Day
You’ll be invited to one of our offices or sites where you will meet our team, get to know the working environment, and have the opportunity to ask questions. As part of the day, you will also complete a group exercise and an interview.
Feedback and offer
We’ll let you know the outcome within 7-10 days from attending an Assessment Day or an Interview, and offer you some feedback.
