As part of his role, Tom is responsible for digital construction, information management, information control, design management, data and project controls, smart buildings, and innovation. Beyond his UK responsibilities he is also part of our global digital community where he is considered an expert in his field by his peers and supports other business units in digital transformation.
Tom’s enviable track record and experience in the digital arena includes participation in cross industry working groups, speaking at industry events and contributing to industry reports and publications.
One of his career highlights to date has been taking the lead on the development of Skanska’s intelligent building tool. Known as Intellekt, it uses a digital platform to collect, analyse and act on real time data to improve building performance and efficiency. Tom led this project from discovery, through development and testing to full roll out as a new service offering for customers as well as implementation in our 51 Moorgate office in London.
