In London’s West End, Kvaerner Trollope & Colls has been awarded a combined office, residential and retail scheme at Great Marlborough Street. The scheme, described by the client, Hufvudstaden International (GMS), as London’s biggest speculative development currently under construction, is due for completion in mid-1999.

It comprises two adjoining buildings totalling some 15,000 square metres of office accommodation as well as three ground-floor retail units and six apartments/maisonettes. Work also involves sports facilities including indoor courts, fitness suite, rugby and football pitches as well as an all-weather floodlit pitch.
