Mr Putnam’s main priority will be driving the FPS’s strategic objectives following its recent review, including the Working Platform Initiative, a plan to create safer working platforms across the industry, and adoption of the Registration Scheme among main contractors and clients to aid the selection of suitably qualified piling specialists.
As well as being on the board at Skanska UK, Mr Putnam is deputy chairman of Cementation Foundations Skanska, the country’s largest foundations company. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers, an executive member of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors and chairman of Skanska Foundations Group, an organisation that brings together Skanska’s 11 worldwide foundations businesses.
