Students at Northumbria university started the new term with a new building recently when they took possession of a teaching and resource centre which has just been completed by Kvaerner Construction.
The three-storey Coach Lane Campus includes a learning resource centre, staff accommodation and teaching and seminar rooms for the health, social work and education faculty. It will house up to 1,600 Teesside students.
Kvaerner Construction also provided sports facilities in its £11.5 million contract including indoor courts, a fitness suite, rugby and football pitches and an all-weather floodlit pitch.
