Foundations and ground engineering specialist Cementation Foundations Skanska has appointed Alan Lanes as its new environmental, health and safety manager.
Alan, 49, joins from the Atomic Weapons Establishment where he held a similar senior-level safety position. He is responsible for implementing health and safety strategy across the company, including on-site operations and at the Bentley Resource Centre in Doncaster, which provides and maintains specialist plant and equipment for its projects.
Managing director Robin Wood said, “Alan comes from an industry where safety is also a top priority and will bring a new perspective on making sure we continue to have the highest standards.”
