KVAERNER LANDS ANOTHER PHASE AT MAIDENHEAD

Press release 23/04/1998 00:00 CET

A further multi-million pound contract to build new accommodation at Maidenhead Office Park has been awarded to Kvaerner Construction by AXA Sun Life.

The latest award, a £12.7 million development of two air-conditioned office blocks, follows three similar units recently completed for the client. Together with a £1.5 million office refurbishment project just awarded at Basingstoke, this brings the total value of work undertaken for AXA Sun Life to some £35 million

The two latest contracts are being undertaken by the southern area office of Kvaerner’s UK Building Division, based at Woking. Kvaerner Rashleigh Weatherfoil is responsible for the mechanical and electrical works on both schemes

In the latest phase at Maidenhead, work has started on high-quality offices with a gross area of more than 10,000 square metres, including extensive hard and soft landscaping. Kvaerner Rashleigh Weatherfoil is undertaking M&E work, plumbing and data installations

Due for completion early next year, the pair of two-storey blocks with a link bridge are pre-let to Northern Telecom

At Chineham Business Park, Basingstoke, the refurbishment of a 10-year-old two-storey office block includes extensive mechanical and electrical installations with new air conditioning, accounting for around half the total value of the contract, scheduled to be ready this summer.
