Pictured is the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance successfully touching down at Coventry’s newest hospital.
The helipad is located at Skanska’s £334 million Coventry New Hospitals project, which will begin operation in July.
Skanska has been working at the site since 2002 and has so far handed over 15 phases of the new acute hospital facilities, which will provide 1,212 beds over 120,000sq.m of new build accommodation.
The scheme also includes the provision of a 130-bed Mental Health Unit, a teaching and research facility, IT centre, Centre for Reproductive Medicine, Central Sterile Services Department and associated buildings.
