Mr David Fison (46) has been appointed executive vice president for Kvaerner Construction’s main contracting activities. This follows a major restructuring last year by Chief Executive Keith Clarke which brought together all the building and civil engineering activities into business streams under the single brand name of Kvaerner Construction.
Commenting on the appointment Mr. Clarke said: "David brings with him a wealth of experience in our industry and under his leadership we will move to consolidate the changes we have made towards a culture where the emphasis is on the project and not on internal company boundaries. We share a firm belief that our industry will undergo rapid changes and I am confident that David will take Kvaerner to the forefront, building on the considerable skills of our team."
A Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers who read engineering at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, Mr. Fison joins Kvaerner at the beginning of September from Balfour Beatty. He will assume responsibility for all Kvaerner Construction’s building and civil engineering activities both in the UK and abroad as well as for the company’s engineering design consultancy, Kvaerner Technology.
Mr. Fison is married with two children aged 12 and 8.
