Facilities management
We provide a range of facilities management services for the Advanced Forming Research Centre, which is part of Strathclyde University in Glasgow. Our team of highly skilled in-house engineers provides a range of mechanical and electrical engineering services. We also carry out statutory inspections to ensure assets are legally compliant and operate a helpdesk.
The Advanced Forming Research Centre, which is located away from the main University campus, is one of just seven special government-funded research centres, known as catapults, in the UK and the only one in Scotland. On the outskirts of Glasgow, it carries out manufacturing-related research and development and employs about 130 people.
We also provide facilities management to the University of Strathclyde’s Power Networks Demonstration Centre in Cumbernauld. This is a special electrical research and testing establishment.
Construction and fit out
At Bath Spa University’s Newton Park campus, we built and carried out the mechanical, electrical and public health fit out of a world-class academic building as part of a £40 million development that has transformed facilities for students.
The campus provides outstanding teaching facilities, including the South West’s largest media wall, an outside amphitheatre, and a superb new television studio.
We designed and built the new Thurrock campus at South Essex College, which meets the BREEAM Very Good standard because of its low impact on the environment. We also carried out the mechanical, electrical and public health engineering fit out of the new building. Modern construction techniques, such as 3D modelling and prefabricated modules, were used to help create a green building with solar panels and rainwater harvesting.
