In Bristol, we have built and refurbished over 40 primary schools, delivering over 8,000 new places. In Essex, we have built three primary schools, creating nearly 1,000 places for pupils. In Scotland, we built eight new primary schools for Midlothian Council.
Facilities management
We are able to offer a range of facilities management solutions.
In Bristol, Essex and the Midlothian area of Scotland, we provide comprehensive facilities management solutions to a number of schools. We provide these schools with total solutions, providing everything from cleaning, catering to grounds maintenance. Our in-house engineers also look after the fabric of the buildings and carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance and inspections.
A number of councils use us for mechanical and electrical engineering and maintenance across their property portfolio, including schools. We look after schools in about two thirds of Kent, for the county council. And, in Edinburgh, we maintain a number of the city’s schools.
Mindenhurst
At the end of 2020, we completed Mindenhurst Primary School, which is part of the new Mindenhurst development. It is located in the village of Deepcut, Surrey and is situated on the site of the old Princess Royal Barracks.
Our team of experts ensured the design fits in with the surrounding woodland area and has features that maximise the amount of natural light that enters the building. This means pupils will benefit from modern facilities that support their learning and development during their time at the school.
This two-form primary school has 14 classrooms and 420 pupil-places. It also has 52 nursery places with an external play area that is separate to the main school.
